Information

The Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada was started in 1974 and, as of 2009 the Society included 210 members.

The society holds a National Specialty annually as well as many boosters (supported entries), field tests and WC/WCI/WCX tests across Canada. Annual membership dues are $30.00 for Canadian residents or $45 Can ($45.00 (US) for our American members). The membership year runs from January to December.

Members are required to read and abide by the society's CODE OF ETHICS and must be sponsored by a current member in good standing.

Our society newsletter 'Flat Out' is sent to the membership 3 times a year.

Deadlines for submissions to the newsletter will be published in the preceding newsletter. Members are encouraged to submit information to the newsletter in the form of interesting or funny stories, educational pieces, photos, poems, brags or accomplishments. New members are asked to write a brief introduction about themselves, and dog related interests, which helps the membership get to know you, please send this along with your membership application.

The membership application / renewal form is available in the Membership - Forms area.

If you have any further questions or, if after sending in your membership you do not receive the next newsletter when expected, please use our Board & Regional Contacts Form and select "Membership Secretary" for the recipient.
